legal, editing and interviews

Henriette van Wermeskerken (1960) has been a writer since 2005. Previously, she worked for twenty years as a lawyer, complaints investigator at the National Ombudsman, and senior policy officer at the (then) Ministry of Justice.

Policy papers, annual reports, meeting minutes, and other documents and articles: Henriette writes and edits them. She turns complex narratives into clear language, making them easy to read and tailored to the target audience. She has a keen eye for societal developments and is interested in understanding what motivates people, often writing based on interviews. Thanks to her extensive work experience, she can quickly familiarize herself with diverse subjects. She is diplomatic and meticulous.

Henriette has authored numerous articles and several books, some of which were commissioned (for example: “Samen gebundeld,” stories about the government’s approach to organized crime, Ministry of Justice, 2015). For more information, visit www.hvws.nl.
